September 2014

It’s hard to believe that I haven’t had any Bess McBride news for you since September! Well, I do now! I’m pleased to announce that Following You Through Time, Book 3 of the Moonlight Wishes in Time series of Regency/Georgian time travel romances is now available at Amazon and Nook. Here’s a bit about the book:

Christopher Mason Denison is lost in time, lost in the twenty-first century. That he remains on his estate which has long since been sold and turned into a tourist attraction galls him even further, but he doesn’t know how to return “home” to remedy the situation. And by remedying the situation, he means he must find someone to marry and produce an heir to inherit the estate, not something he ever wanted.

Annie Warner has come to visit Moonglow Castle and make the acquaintance of her relatives, the descendants of Phoebe and Reggie Hamilton. She encounters a sullen man on more than one occasion in the neighborhood who both angers her and fascinates her. His dialogue is formal, his demeanor impossibly arrogant.

That these two are going to fall in love is never in doubt. The question is how...and how can Christopher return home to save his estate.

Other News

Many of you know that I’m supplementing my writing with a new name, Minnie Crockwell, and a new series of short cozy mysteries called Will Travel For Trouble. Books 1-3 (Trouble at Happy Trail, Trouble at Sunny Lake and Trouble at Glacier) are now available at Amazon, Nook and iTunes. Book 4, Trouble at Hungry Lake, is nearing completion and should be available within the next few weeks. Minnie lives and travels in an RV, much like her author, and she finds herself immersed in mystery everywhere she goes. That she is accompanied by a nineteenth century ghost named Peregrine Benjamin (Ben) Alvord complicates her life further. If you like short stories, and you like cozy mysteries, consider following Minnie on her misadventures! For more information on the series, please visit my other web site at http://www.minniecrockwell.com

I’m not sure what’s next on my Bess McBride writing agenda. Definitely a time travel romance, but I’m not sure what era or whether I’ll continue series that I’ve started or begin a new one. Please know that read all your emails and take to heart your requests and wishes. J I am planning on heading back to Arizona this winter, but you know...the best laid plans. I hope to get Book 3 of the Love in the Old West series done at that time.

I will admit that I haven’t kept up with my blog, including my travels of which there have been few. This summer was a busy one for me with family commitments and the birth of twin boys to my daughter, so it’s been kind of crazy, and I had to take a few months off from writing full time.

March 2013

I'm pleased to announce that my newest time travel romance, Caving into You, was just released and is now available online at AmazonNook and Smashwords. It will be available soon on Kobo and iTunes.

Caving into You is Book One of my new series, Love in the Old West. Inspired by my recent stay in historic Southeastern Arizona--land of legends, gunfighters, Apache wars, Cavalry soldiers and rich silver mines, I was compelled to set a time travel romance series here. Caving into You is the first book in that series. I hope you enjoy!

Here's a short blurb:

Hilly Creighton's life is tame, without excitement, without romance—not good news for a romance writer. Yet one fateful day on a side trip to Tombstone, Arizona, she finds an abandoned cave on a hill, and sets in motion a series of journeys through time for both herself and a man who doesn't understand why he has been brought forward from the year 1881.

Clint Woodrow, mining his claim in search of the silver he knows is there, finds himself lost in modern-day Tombstone, Arizona, and the woman whose voice brought him forward in time is nowhere to be found. What is a stranded miner/cowboy/farmer to do in today's world? Join the gunfight show at the O.K. Corral, that's what!

How these two lost souls get together is anyone's guess! How they stay together against all odds is in the hands of the fates—or in the power of the cave.

I've been posting pictures of the sights in Southeastern Arizona on my Facebook pages and on my blog, Will Travel For Romance. I hope you enjoy them.

Look for Book Two of the Love in the Old West series in late spring.

December 2013

I'm pleased to announce that my newest time travel romance, Finding You in Time, was just released and is now available online at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Smashwords. It will be available soon on Kobo and iTunes.

Finding You in Time is Book Four of the Train Through Time series. Nathan Carpenter has lost the woman he loves...on a train...to another time. He has lost everything, even himself as he cannot find a way to return to his own time. Amanda Cartwright can't remember the stranger who accosts her on a train one fateful night, though he says they were engaged to be married...in another time. Time and the fates seem to conspire to keep Nathan and Amanda apart. Is their love strong enough to find each other in time?

In other news, I compiled the first three books of the Train Through Time Series into a boxed Set entitled Train Through Time Series Boxed Set (Books 1-3). The boxed set consists of A Train Through Time, Together Forever Across Time, and A Smile in Time, and is available at a discounted price.

I now have five books available on audio: A Train Through Time, Together Forever Across Time, A Smile in Time, Love of My Heart, and Moonlight Wishes in Time. Many of you know that I've recently become quite attached to "audiobooks" though I download them to my smartphone through Audible and play them in my car when I'm driving. My most recent audio release, A Smile in Time, is narrated by the delightful Susan Hegarty, dialect coach to the stars!

For fans of the Moonlight Wishes in Time series, I'm currently writing Book Three and hope to release it in early spring.

Thank you to the participants and winners of my recent Amazon gift card, print book and ebook giveaways. I'll do some more giveaways soon! Look for them on my Facebook page! I appreciate all of you and the friendship and support you have shown me. Feel free to e-mail me or contact me through my web site or e-mail! I look forward to hearing from you!

September 2013

I’m pleased to announce the release of Under an English Moon, book two of the Moonlight Wishes in Time series. Here’s a bit about the book:

Lord Reginald Hamilton pines for a love of his own. The woman he fancied himself in love with has married another, and Reggie finds himself restless, at loose ends, and wondering where he will find his destiny. America? It seems as if everyone he knows has emigrated to America.

Phoebe Warner lives in New York City and works as a copy editor for Sinclair Publishing. A lover of the Georgian-era romance novels of I.C. Moon, she wishes for a Georgian man of her own.

Reggie and Phoebe wish for their hearts’ desire on a full moon...almost two hundred years apart. They find their way to each other, but can Reggie and Phoebe find their destiny under an English moon?

Buy links are available on my books page.

In other news, I’ve updated several of the covers for my ghostly romances, Caribbean Dreams of Love and On a Warm Sea of Love, as well as my two contemporary travel romances A Shy Woman in Love and A Sigh of Love. Aren’t they gorgeous? By cover artist Tamra Westberry.

Look for book four of the Train Through Time series in the fall!

June 2013

Just a couple quick notes: My new time travel romance, Forever Beside You in Time, is now out on Amazon until wide release in October 2013. Additionally, A Smile in Time, Book Three of the Train Through Time Series, was released this month. Please see my Books page for details.

May 2013

Exciting News! Four of my books are coming to audio, and “A Train Through Time” (audio) is available now at Amazon and Audible.com! “Moonlight Wishes in Time,” “Together Forever Across Time” (Book Two of the Train Through Time series) and “Love of My Heart” are in production now and will be available in early July.

In other news, my newest time travel romance, “Forever Beside You in Time,” set in England and Wales, is just finishing production at my publisher, The Wild Rose Press, and should be available soon exclusively on Amazon, perhaps in June. I don’t have the official release date for the print book or when it will be sent to all other distributors such as Barnes and Noble and iTunes, but I expect that to be in September 2013. I'll post the releases on Facebook, Twitter, and via newsletter.

I just love this story, and I hope you do, too! Here’s a bit about the book:

Aurora Morrison scrimped and saved for a tour of Britain but, exhausted after the long plane trip to London, she falls asleep in Kensington Gardens and wakes to find herself somehow thrust back in time to 1902. The first person she meets is Jonathan Saunders, who takes her under his wing and introduces her to his family and friends as an American cousin. How can she help but fall in love with this handsome man of a bygone era? And how can she find her way home to her own time?

Newly engaged Jonathan Saunders is fascinated by this mysteriously lost and confused American woman and vows to protect her. When Aurie decides to pursue her original plan—touring the British Isles—Jonathan follows her across England and Wales, his fiancée hot on his heels. He knows he can't have it all, but he doesn't want it all. He just wants Aurora.

And finally, I’m diligently at work on Book Three of the Train Through Time series, tentatively titled “A Smile in Time,” and hope to have that released in early June. I’ll announce that on Facebook, Twitter and in a newsletter as well.

Talk to you soon!

All my previously published books have been re-released now, but are not yet available on all sites. They are all available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Smashwords.  Please visit my Books page for links.  Print books will follow but not until March at the earliest.  I look forward to seeing some of these covers in print!

Thanks for being patient with the ongoing changes to the status of my books as they are published to more sites.  If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me.

In exciting news (for me, at least), I’m currently working on a sequel to A Train in Time. No title yet. I usually have to wait and see what develops with the story to dream up a title.  And Google it to make sure it’s not a common phrase or title!  J  Look for the release in March 2013!

January 2013

As you all can see, my site is undergoing some changes as is my writing.  I'm embarking on a new adventure in publishing.  Same stuff, different look.  I have and will be re-releasing seven of my titles in the coming months.  I'll be sending out a newsletter with the details.  Additionally, I will keep my blog updated.

A Train Through Time has been re-released with a beautiful new cover is available exclusively at Amazon Kindle for the next three months, including their lending library.  Additionally, I'm currently working on re-releasing "A Penny for Your Thoughts" which should be out within the month.  And I look forward to a brand new release, A Shy Woman in Love, a contemporary romance which is Book One of my Will Travel For Romance Series, a series about…traveling in search of love, or finding love while traveling.

November 2012

Exciting News!  Jenny Cussler’s Last Stand is now available exclusively in digital format on Amazon.com. The official release from my publisher, The Wild Rose Press, is still February 1, 2013, but my publisher has sent the book to Amazon to be released early under the Kindle Direct Publishing program for three months.  I hope you enjoy reading the book as much as I did writing it!

My promotional blog tour for Across the Winds of Time went well, and I had a great time visiting various host blogs and chatting with readers!  The winners of a copy of one of my backlist books and two $25 gift certificates were notified by e-mail.  Congratulations!

I look forward to hearing from you.  Please feel free to contact me at the e-mail listed on my Contact page

October 2012

It’s here! The release date for my newest novel, Jenny Cussler’s Last Stand, is February 1, 2013.  I know that seems like a long way off...at least it does to me...but it will be here soon enough.  The blurb can be seen in my August 2012 news item.  Please check out my Extras page to see the photographs which inspire the book.  As many of you know, almost all of my novels are inspired by my travels, and this one is based on time I spent on a Native American reservation at a Veteran’s camp.

Meanwhile, I’ve submitted a new time travel to a publisher, so wish me luck!  I really enjoyed setting the time travel to the late Victorian/early Edwardian era of 1902 England and Wales.  One of my favorite eras, and inspired by my recent trip to England and Wales.

October 11th!  Mark the date!  I’ll be hitting lots of blogs on a promotional tour for Across the Winds of Time, my recently released time travel to 1800s Midwest region of the United States.  I’ve gotten some lovely reviews on that, if I do say so myself.  Blush....

Jenny Cussler's Last Stand -- Bess McBrideI've just received the book cover for my upcoming release (date to be determined) called Jenny Cussler's Last Stand, a contemporary romance set on a Native American reservation.  Isn't the cover a beauty?  By talented cover artist Tamra Westberry.  Here's a bit about the book:

As social worker Jenny Cussler prepares to attend a week at a Native American veterans’ awareness camp far away from home high in the mountains of the Yakama reservation in Washington State, she fantasizes about what it would be like to fall in love with a handsome Native American man.  Clint Hastings, disillusioned by similarly fantasizing white girls during his youthful college experiences, has no intention of straying outside of his culture for a relationship.  Except he can’t seem to fall in love with anyone on the reservation either.

When Clint meets Jenny at the camp, he begins to rethink his position, and is ready to give his heart to her.  But when Jenny actually encounters a Native American man who is ready to fall in love with her, she realizes her fantasy has little basis in the reality of life on a reservation.  Will their love be enough to overcome their cultural differences?

October 2011

After a long absence from my own web site and blog, I'm back!  My web site and blog have been updated with the help of Rae Monet and her design team.  Aren't they beautiful?  You can see her work at raemonetinc.com.

Many of you will remember I left the working world to live and travel full time in a recreational vehicle.  I wrote seven books during those years.  But my daughter had babies, and the desire to hear their coos and feel their cuddles has drawn me back to the Pacific Northwest, so I returned to full-time work a few years ago.  I remember now how busy one gets when working full time.  And that's why I've asked for help with my web site and promotions, so I can spend my free time writing...when I'm not traveling that is...  I've just returned from a trip to England, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland, and feel inspired!!

My newest release, "Across the Winds of Time," celebrates the last few years where I lived in the Midwest, where many of my ancestors are buried.  Who wouldn't love to have a "helpless" nineteenth century man fall right into one's lap? I know I would!! If you can't "do," you write books. So, that's what I did...while I'm waiting for my nineteenth century man to travel forward in time for me.... :-)  You can read the blurb and excerpt at my "Books" link.  And here are the links to two very kind reviews for "Across the Winds of Time."

"Ms. McBride writes with her usual flair and unique spin on time travel.  The reader is genuinely satisfied with the quirks and awkwardness expected with the 100 year age time difference...."  http://yougottareadreviews.blogspot.com

"I have to say that Ms. McBride has outdone herself yet again. I love her creative storylines and her well developed characters. She created such an engrossing story that I found myself hanging onto her every word and I eagerly couldn’t wait to see what happened next for Molly, Sara and Darius."  http://www.nightowlromance.com

That's the latest news for me right now.  I've got several manuscripts in progress, so I'll get back to work on those.  Feel free to contact me.  I look forward to hearing from you.

March 2010

I’m pleased to announce that my recently completed time travel, “Across the Winds of Time,” was contracted by The Wild Rose Press, and we should begin edits fairly soon. I talked a little bit about it in my January news below.

I’m having wonderful success with my February released, a romantic suspense called, “A Penny for Your Thoughts.” I’ve gotten lovely reviews, and I’m tickled about them. That book was set on the beautiful Gulf Coast of Alabama, where, it just so happens, I spent Mardi Gras week, attending 5 parades in 6 days and screaming for beads, trinkets, and moon pies (all featured in “A Penny for Your Thoughts.”

Here are a few nice words about “A Penny for Your Thoughts” from You Gotta Read Reviews

"When I began reading this book, it was New Year's Eve. I read until 1:00 in the morning without even taking note of the year change. This story is engrossing, gripping, suspenseful and undeniably one of the best romantic suspense stories ever written. Ms. McBride knits together a plotline fraught with twists and turns that leaves the reader guessing as to the path to be taken next. To say this is a page-turner is an understatment. I couldn't wait to see not only the mystery solved, but to see how, when and if Matt and Penny would resolve their long unquenched desire for one another. I believe the lesson to be learned from this book is that no matter what you think, there always are possibilities in life and in love. Without question, Bess McBride has knocked another one out of the park." Laura at You Gotta Read Reviews

Spring is in the air, and It’s time for a newsletter, so I’d better get to work on that. Back to the grindstone! Talk to you soon!

January 2010

I just finished a new time travel where the hero comes forward. It’s a first person, and I had a great time doing it. I find first person a more... intimate...delivery, and I hope readers find it the same. It was much easier for me to “get into character” in first person. I know...! I know...! I’m a writer, not an actor, but I think it works the same. I’ve sent it away for consideration, so let’s see what happens. Wish me luck.

I have two or three manuscripts in progress, and I’m picking up where I left off with them last spring. As many of you know, I gave up the full-time RVing life and returned to work, which involved (a) finding a job, (b) getting hired in a place far, far away, (c) selling the RV and moving to said far, far away place, (d) beginning the new job and a full year of training, (e) and getting settled into a routine (interrupted only by a newfound Stephenie Meyer “Twilight Saga” obsession) (I’ve always been late for every new thing, and this fandom is no exception.). That has passed (until the next movie comes out) and I’m finally grounded and was able to return to writing again a month ago. Since I hadn’t written a lick in 8 months, I admit to some concerns, but it seemed to go smoothly!

Right now, I’m working on time travels. I love time travels...and I don’t care which way they go: to the past or to the present.

My romantic suspense, “A Penny for Your Thoughts,” set on the beautiful Gulf Coast, will be available in digital and print on February 10, 2010. The cover by artist Tamra Westberry is stunning...as always. I’ll send out a newsletter around that time!

Talk to you all soon!

Well, I've arrived in the wilds of Nebraska (I say this tongue in cheek, of course), prepared to reenter the work force full time.  Surprisingly, I found living the life of early retirement less than stimulating and detrimental to my writing.  That is to say...I got bored.  I kid you not!  Who knew!  I'm not quite settled into my new digs yet nor my new job, and I haven't yet met the local "romance writers," but I'm looking forward to meeting new folks.  And I'm thrilled to be in the Midwest.  I'm not sure whether I told y'all before, but my short swing through the Midwest last fall on a genealogical exploration of local cemeteries gave me a wonderful idea for another novel which I worked on over the winter.  After putting it aside for a while, I'm ready to get back to it again.  Something about the winds here...they're magical...inspiring.  I love the wind.  It's blowing as I write it...albeit at about 100 degrees today.  :-)

Don't forget, "On a Warm Sea of Love" is coming out September 25th!  I can't wait.  I just love the cover, done by one of my favorite artists, Tamra Westberry.

Talk to you soon!

My apologies for not keeping up with news better.  I fried my computer a month ago, and along with it, my newsletter addresses.  So, I'll have to begin those all over again!

In better news, I'm pleased to say that I have two releases coming out.  On A Warm Sea of Love, a light paranormal/lovelorn ghosty stuff set on a Caribbean cruise, will be released in digital and print September 25, 2009.  A Penny for Your Thoughts, my first romantic suspense which is set on the beautiful Gulf Coast of Alabama will be available February 12, 2010.  Aren't the covers fabulous?!

A Sea of Warm Love A Penny for Your Thoughts -- Bess McBride

I have several wonderful book signings over the winter in the public libraries at Gulf Shores and Foley, Alabama.  The librarians were very supportive, and I got to meet a lot of people!

My last bit of news is that I'm leaving the full-time RVing life and heading off to the prairies of Nebraska for a job.  I'm looking forward to it and will be updating you all as soon as I get settled in at work and in a new place to live.

Tuesday, March 18, 2008

A couple of new things are happening for me.  I've started a newsletter and sent out my first edition.  It should only come out about once a quarter or if I have really thrilling news that I can't wait to share with friends, family and readers.

And I've started a blog!  I know what you're thinking.  Yet another blog?  I started this at the urging of an author friend who thought I might tie in my romance writing, love of humor and travels in my recreational vehicle.  I've called it "Will Travel for Romance," and the link is http://willtravelforromance.blogspot.com/ .  I hope to get lots of feedback from it.  I'll be talking about whatever strikes me that day, romance writing, life in RV parks or adventures on the road.   Join me on my travels.  It can get lonely sometimes here on the road!

I have submitted my romantic suspense to several publishers.  We'll see what happens with that.  I'm not sure if I was in the ballpark, and I'll know by an editor's response if I should continue along that vein.  Although I found the romantic suspense extremely challenging, when it was done, I wanted to start another one.  However, I'm going to hold off and see what happens.

I have started a new book.  So far it's a contemporary romance set high on a mountain on a Native American reservation.  I won't say more yet because I'm in the beginning pages and I like to allow for possible genre changes.

Contests:  We're beginning a contest called "Spring Cleaning" on March 20th.  Look for that to begin on my contest page.  And "Luck of the Draw" ended at midnight last night.  I'll be contacting my winners as soon as I receive their names from the contest coordinator.  In addition, my "For Love of An Irishman" is ongoing through April 8th.  Check the contes page for details.

My Alaskan romance, A Sigh of Love, gets a Reviewer Top Pick from Night Owl Romance!  Here's a blurb!

"I absolutely loved this story. There was just something magical about it since it was set in Alaska. Having visited there a few years ago, its beauty just leaves a permanent image in your heart, mind and soul. Alaska was the perfect backdrop for this story and the characters were just so believable. I felt so bad for Abbie because she just seemed to be getting a bad deal all the time until she returned back to Alaska. It was as if Alaska helped her to find herself again. I would definitely recommend this story to others and I eagerly look forward to reading more stories from Ms. McBride."

In addition, The Romance Studio gave A Sigh of Love Five Hearts and a Sweetheart Win.  Here's a blurb!

"I really enjoyed reading this book and found myself reading through the night because I just could not put it down. The sensual scenes were beautifully presented but were not explicit. The sex was alluded to, but not specific. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a good love story with great action. I believe that it will be a definite winner.

Certainly a lot of good news this week.  The contests are still going on.  Drop by my contest page and enter.

I'm wrapping up my romantic suspense and getting ready to submit it to The Wild Rose Press.  Wish me luck!

As you can see, we are in full swing on the Luck of the Draw contest.  See my contest page for details.  I've begun edits on Across the Room which is now called A Trail of Love.  My editor and cover artist thought Across the Room would not work with the scenic lanscape book covers that I love...and since I wanted the scenery, I changed the name!

My current contest for my newest releast, A Sigh of Love is still going on, and I enjoy hearing from contestants and readers.

I've seen the draft of my cover for On A Warm Sea of Love and it's beautiful, quite, quite wonderful.  I can't wait to share it with everyone, but I think I'll wait until the book at least begins edits.

Talk to you all soon!

We just wound up our contest, A Quest for Passion, a celebration of Valentine's Day, and I'm pleased to announce that I drew two names, Nicole Price and Stacia Helpman!  Congratulations, ladies!

We're gearing up for another contest called Luck of the Draw in time for St. Patrick's Day which should begin within the week.

Don't forget to check out my current contest for my newest release, A Sigh of Love:  What did the Native American man say in my book trailer?  You can view the details on the Contest page.

And last but not least, I have finished my first draft of my romantic suspense.  I've got a lot more work to do, and the ending surprised me completely, but...stories will often do that to you!

I'm pleased to announce that my second manuscript, "On a Warm Sea of Love," has been contracted by the Faery Line of The Wild Rose Press.  This is a contemporary/light paranormal and features a young widow and her happily married sister who embark on a Caribbean cruise. As they meet several handsome men-a romantic Scots ship's officer and a debonair Dutch entrepeneur, her sister tries to make a match, but our heroine balks at men--especially men who go out to sea as her husband was lost off an Alaskan fishing trawler many years before. She also has to contend with the fact that her dearly departed young husband, who hasn't yet managed to actually "depart," has decided to accompany her on the cruise. While he provdes running commentary on the men, he struggles to let her go and makes it that much more difficult for our heroine to find new love with a real live man!

"On a Warm Sea of Love" is my sixth contract with The Wild Rose Press.

Don't forget!  "A Sigh of Love" is set for digital release this Friday!  Yahooo!!

And last but not least, I've been to Mardi Gras parades here in the Gulf Coast over the last few days!  Wow!  Very exciting!

"Across the Room" is set to begin edits in February 2008.  Yeah!

In other news, I held a contest for the print release of "Love of My Heart."  My winners were Janice Roach and Heather Bennett who each received a signed copy of "Love of My Heart."

I finished my first time travel entitled "A Train through Time," which was accepted for contract by the Vintage line of The Wild Rose Press!  I can't tell you how excited I am by that contract!  It's the story of a college-level instructor of women's studies who boards a sleek modern silver train bound for Seattle to attend a seminar but wakes up to find herself on a vintage train surrounded by a group of late Victorian era reenactors...or so she believes.

I'm looking forward to the upcoming release of "A Sigh of Love" in e-book on February 8, 2008.

I'm about halfway through my first attempt at romantic suspense.  It's going a bit slow, which isn't good for a suspense! :-)  Let's hope I can put the suspense in the romantic suspense!

I'm thrilled to announce that I've received a contract for my fourth book, "Across the Room," from The Wild Rose Press.  This is the contemporary romance set in Glacier National Park complete with grizzly bears, a woman hiding from her past and a handsome bear ranger.  I've just started a time travel and it's going in spurts.  Some days, the writing flies and some days, the research stumps me.  :-)

In other news, I have finished preparing book trailers for both "Love of My Heart" and "A Sigh of Love."  I think they're fabulous (if I do say so myself) and I love them.  The music is...extraordinary.  I hope you take a look at them on the Book Trailer page.

I almost forgot!  "Love of My Heart" is now available in print.  Yeah!!!  You can order it online from all the usual sorts at The Wild Rose Press www.thewildrosepress.com, Amazon.com www.amazon.com, Barnes and Noble www.barnesandnoble.com   You can still order it in e-book from The Wild Rose Press.

And last but not least, I have a scheduled release date for "A Sigh of Love" in digital format on February 8, 2008 and in print on August 8, 2008.  Ta da!!!

That's it for the news.  I'm enjoying walking the beach and gearing up for my next adventure this summer, though I don't know where yet.

"A Sigh of Love," is finished and in production.  Yeah!!!  I don't have a release date yet, but I hope it will be soon.  I can't wait.  I finished the first round of edits for "Caribbean Dreams of Love" and sent that back to my editor.  I'm writing a new book now, a contemporary romance set against the magnificent backdrop of Glacier National Park.  I hope to have it done in December.

In other news, we've arrived on the Gulf Coast of the U.S. where I'll be spending the winter walking the beach.  I love it down here.  We won't have any snow for Christmas, but....  And speaking of Christmas, they should never give a license to a man who drives a sleigh and plays with elves.  Don't forget to check out the contests page to play in our Christmas Scavenger Hunt contest, 13 authors, 22 prizes.  Yeah!

Talk to you all soon!

Caribbean Dreams of Love -- Bess McBride

"Caribbean Dreams of Love," is in edits as I type.  My editor wants it back by November so maybe it will be released soon after that.  I have a new editor for "A Sigh of Love," and things are flying along.  I expect a release date for that fairly soon as well.  I have submitted "A Shy Woman in Love," and am hoping for the best.  Wish me luck!  :-)

Saturday, August 18, 2007

And the fourth book is done, submitted and accepted for publication by the Faery Rose Line of The Wild Rose Press.  It's called "Caribbean Dreams of Love," and is a paranormal about a pirate, a lonely modern day woman, her precocious teenage daughter, a Caribbean cruise, a curse, a ghost, and love, love, love.

While I wait for edits on that book, I'm still working on edits for "A Sigh of Love."  It looks like the projected August release month might have to move.

I've resurrected my first effort, "A Shy Woman in Love," and I'm busily reworking it into a saleable manuscript.  I love the story!  It's a contemporary about a broken-hearted woman who uses her small income tax return on a tour of Europe, the beautiful sights, wonderful people and love she will find along the way.  I hope to have that ready to submit by September.  It's my favorite!  My first manuscript...my baby!

A Sigh of Love -- Bess McBride

My second book, "A Sigh of Love," is due to be released soon from The Wild Rose Press at www.thewildrosepress.com on or about August 2007.  I received the cover on July 3rd and am busily trying to paste it to everything I own, including the backs of people's heads and bathroom walls.  :-D

Right now, I'm writing my fourth book with plans on submitting it to the Faery Rose Line of the The Wild Rose Press, hopefully in August 2007.  It is a paranormal romance set in the Caribbean.  You'll find my paranormals are safe and secure, just a little bit different.  None of this staying awake all night wondering if your toes are hanging out over the edge of the bed.  :-)
